God calls his children to hard things in this life.
By nature, we don’t like the thought of suffering, or being challenged, or not being in control.
We forget who has everything under his control.
First Peter 1:5 says that through faith “we are shielded by God’s power.”
Nothing is outside of God’s control.
Not the depth of your pain, or the circumstances, or the outcome.
Remember, God is for you, not against you (Romans 8:31).
How will you make an intentional decision to draw nearer to God in your time of suffering and remember that he himself is shielding you by his own power?
Lord Jesus, it is so easy to forget that you are for me and not against me.
Remind me that you only do things for good in my life, even in these trials.
Let me rest in your mighty power as I walk by faith in you alone.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
